G|M recently had the privilege of collaborating with industry partners on a transformative project for Subaru, designing a workspace that blends innovation with nature. Working directly with client and Barbara Briceno from CBRE, G|M was able to create a space that mirrors Subaru’s passion for product design, while fostering creativity and collaboration. While we were not actively engaged with the architect, the team at ADC delivered a stunning design that perfectly aligned with the client’s vision.

The project featured a wide range of products from top manufacturers, including a mix of Canvas workstations, Knoll private offices, and MillerKnoll seating. The space was further complemented by furnishings from SitonIt, Arcadia, and National, ensuring a versatile, functional, and stylish environment. The variety of manufacturers utilized on this project created a dynamic and well-rounded design.

The design inspiration was rooted in Subaru’s desire to create an environment that captured the feeling of being immersed in nature—an essential element for a team dedicated to product design. The workspace was tailored to support the creativity of the team, serving as a "canvas" where they could develop innovative products inspired by the natural world. Every aspect of the design was intended to enhance creativity and provide a space that encouraged collaboration and innovation.

Reflecting on the project, Michaela Stein, G|M Market Director for Irvine stated, "It was truly a dream to collaborate with a group of product designers who shared the same passion, vision, and spirit as our team. I enjoyed our time together immensely, and every step of the way was pure joy. I can’t wait to see how they grow in the space in the coming years! Being able to use the same design language to create strong concepts and root our product selection made every step easy."

This project not only met the client’s functional needs but also created a dynamic and inspiring workspace that will continue to evolve as Subaru's product design team grows and thrives in the years ahead.
